DuCard Vineyards is an authentic, boutique winery bordering the Shenandoah National Park.  We grow our own grapes and make our own wine on site, and sell nearly exclusively at our gorgeous tasting room, with patios, streamside decks, and an airy enclosed pavilion, all with gorgeous views of mountains, streams and vines.

The estate includes 8 acres of French vinifera and native Virginia varieties on site and 12 acres at two other sites in the county, all meticulously nurtured and tended by hand. Located at an elevation of 1,000 feet, on a picturesque slope in the shadow of the Blue Ridge mountains, our grapes reflect the rocky soils and rugged landscape of Madison County, Virginia and yield wines of unique character and complexity.  We are focused on superior customer service, environmental leadership and top quality wines.  We have the highest ratings on Trip Advisor for customer experience among all central Virginia wineries, with a low key, hospitable “Cheers Bar” vibe.  We have been recognized as Virginia’s “greenest winery” with a wide range of features and practices focused on sustainability.  And we have a track record of Gold Medal winning white, red and dessert wines.  We serve seated flights at your table, in crystal glassware and have a range of local foods and snacks available. Current release wines and selected library wines of older vintages are available for sale by the bottle as well.

Our hours are 12  – 5 PM Monday through Thursday and 12 – 6 Friday, Saturday and Sunday (with live music every Saturday and most Sundays).  During spring, summer and fall, we are open until 9 PM on Fridays and until 9 on Second Saturdays with live evening music.  We also host a wide range of special events – oyster festivals, chocolate and wine pairings, Sunday holiday brunches, vertical tastings, and more, offer vineyard tours with a unique focus on the viticulture practices we use in growing the grapes.    Reservations are recommended (especially on Saturdays in season) but are not required.   Visit us at http://www.ducardvineyards.com.
