The Backing Small Businesses program supports economically vulnerable and under-resourced small businesses with community reach and/or cultural significance. In its first year, the program awarded $1.65M in grant funding nationwide. This year, it will award $5.7M in funding.  

Eligible small business owners may apply for $10,000 for projects that grow or improve their businesses by building community, supporting their economic viability, or bolstering meaningful change. 500 applicants will receive the grant. Of those 500, a subset of 25 recipients will be awarded $30,000 Enhancement Grants, which will allow those business owners the opportunity to create transformative change within their business and in their community.   

Applications will be accepted through April 7, 2024, at 11:59 pm CT.
