SNPT DAY AND MUSIC IN THE MOUNTAINS W/ RON GENTRY JULY 30 @ 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Shenandoah National Park at DuCard Vineyards! DuCard offers two wines with park-themed labels, Shenandoah and Black Bear, and donates a portion of the proceeds each year from the sale of those wines to the SNPT. Did you know our vineyard and grounds border the park? On Sunday, the 30th we will celebrate the Shenandoah National Park by hosting author Erin Gifford for a Meet the Author session (12-3pm) and book signing, offering free tastings of these two wines, and for every Shenandoah and/or Black Bear bottle purchase visitors can enter to win Park-themed prizes. Drawings will be held throughout the afternoon.
We’ll also have live music by Ron Gentry (2-5pm)! He began his musical journey as a child singing in the Children’s Choir. It was there that he developed a love for singing as a way to express himself. His childhood home was filled with the sounds of Motown, The Beatles, CCR, The Stones, Hendrix and many other artists from the 1960s musical era. After a 25-year career as a manufacturers’ representative for Fender Musical Instruments Corp. and Kaman Music, Ron is back in Charlottesville and doing what he enjoys most…playing a variety of great music in a way that only Ron can. No cover. Reservations are recommended. Make yours here.
