Toad Head is a Virginia-based band that presents the music of diverse influences. The band’s sound is an amalgamation of multiple musical styles such as Rock, Funk, Bluegrass, Blues, R&B, Jazz, and more. Every show is loaded with multi-layered vocal harmonies, original songs and compositions, and exploratory improvisation to make sure every single show is unique. This unique performance style inspires introspective realizations, as well as collective experiences. This musical quartet consists of Jeff Conway-Gutierrez [Drums], Jonathan Cavell [Bass], Matt Morin [Guitar], and Zack Hale [Guitar]. Toad Head has had the immeasurable pleasure of playing with many great musicians such as Swift Technique, The Sweet Life, CBDB, Illiterate Light, The Groove Orient, Litz, Gordon Sterling, and many more!
Since forming nearly 11 years ago, Toad Head has played throughout the state of Virginia as well as parts of Maryland, West Virginia, and Washington D.C. Among the many venues in which Toad Head has had the pleasure of performing, the most notable are Pearl Street Warehouse, Jammin’ Java, Yonderville Music, and Arts Festival, Not Fade Away Music and Arts Festival, The Pie Shop, The Golden Pony, and Cary St. Café, Bald Top Brewery, and Gypsy Sally’s. The group continues to grow and gain traction in its hometown as well as surrounding communities and states.
