News from the Mountain Museum at Criglersville, VA:
The stone wall at the Blue Ridge Heritage Memorial Chimney has been completed and includes the kiosks that will be very informative for our visitors. The Chimney plaque includes the family names of the Madison County families who were displaced for the formation of the Shenandoah National Park. These families lost their homes, land and livelihood. This memorial site preserves the story of the displacement and helps keep alive the rich culture of the people who called these mountains home.
The Mountain Museum at Criglersville will be hosting an open house on Sunday, June 27th from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
We look forward to your visit.
