Soap making has come a long way since settlers used ashes from the fireplace and collected rainwater to make lye. It used to be a chore to make soap. This is no longer the case. In fact, it’s a lot of fun. We supply all the materials, colors, and fragrance oils to create your own unique handcrafted soap. Description: Connect with nature by learning about and crafting with healing plants to make all-natural soap and personal care products for you and your loved ones!
Get to know medicinal plants by interacting with them hands-on. Enjoy sipping herbal tea while you learn about the health benefits of the featured plants for that class. Then learn how to make your own soap and one self-care product such as lip balm, salve or body spray using our highlighted herb. Each participant will get to take their products home to use or give as gifts. You’ll also walk away with the knowledge of how to make these products in the future. Age range: 12 and up Our guests will leave with 6 – 10 bars of soap, depending on how it is cut. There’s nothing more gratifying than using a soap that you have made yourself.
