Meander is a beautiful 1766 historic country inn offering accommodations and casual dining, surrounded by 80 acres of rolling landscapes in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Inn is packed with history and America’s forefathers have dined here, warmed by our fire and illuminated by candlelight. George Washington stayed on the property for over a month after the French and Indian War, and Meander was a favorite retreat for Thomas Jefferson, who was a regular dinner guest on his way to the White House from Monticello. The Meander Lawn offers incredible sunsets over the Blue Ridge Mountains, which guests can enjoy from Meander’s porch.
